I often find myself travelling and that cuts into my workout routine. Unfortunately when travelling, usually there are no weights available and the only way to get some exercise in, is to work with your weight. There are a few exercises that you can do in your hotel room, only using the things that are commonly available there.

I usually start with some light stretching (my muscles are sore after travelling) and some warmups with jumping jacks. After that I get into the actual routine itself. I try to do about 2 sets of 20 reps each of these exercises, but you can figure out your own number of sets and reps, depending on how strong you are and how much you want to work out.

Here’s the routine:

Start off with some light stretching and then start doing some jumping jacks:

If you want to continue warming up and also get some cardio in, you can also do squat jumps:

You can start off the actual exercises themselves by doing pushups:

Then bodyweight squats:

Then you can take a chair and do some chair tricep dips:

You can finish off the little routine by doing some planks:

This little routine will not make you grow huge muscles or gain weight, but it will help keep you fit and energize you on your travels. ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s a simple, yet effective routine that you can use whenever you find yourself on the road and without an access to the gym.

  1. Don’t forget the pullups!
I normally find myself working out in a park/playground when travelling that allows me to throw in pullup/chinup variations along with hanging leg raises etc.

    1. I didn’t forget the pull ups ๐Ÿ™‚ Those are probably one of the best exercises ever in my opinion. I just tried to include the exercises that you can do in your hotel room. Yeah kids playgrounds are awesome for finding equipment that you can use to do all sorts of bodyweight exercises. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Exercise, keep healthy

    The campaign to all exercise.

    I just started exercising.
I want to know administration the shoulders.
    Want to shoulder strength.
Want the shoulders and chest, like Captain America.

    1. The answer is compound exercises. Chest press for the chest and shoulder press for the shoulders. However you also cannot neglect the other parts of your body like back and legs.

  3. No matter, whether you are doing exercise at the gym or at home, because if you plan to travel for some reasons(either for business meets or for pleasure) from the comfort of your personal constituency to other location, then your whole workout routine can get thrown out the window. Yes, you can use hotel gyms, but if it is crappy, then what will you do? Here, the author has suggested some bodyweight exercises that are travel-friendly. Better you should do the above workouts in order to stay in shape while traveling. Yes, this post is worth reading. I will definitely recommend this:)
