coin flip

What if I told you that there is one secret trick that you can use in order to bring luck to your side. It’s not something too hard to do. In fact, anyone can do it.

Derren Brown, famous British mentalist, is a master at this type of stuff and in one of his shows, demonstrated how to create a system to get lucky. He said that he could flip a coin into a bowl and have it land heads 10 times in a row and then proceeded on to do it. Watch the video below:

Do you want to know the secret of how he did it?

Well, there is nothing challenging about it. Once you read the next sentence, you will have a huge epiphany.

He was flipping coins for 9 straight hours! 🙂

After 9 hours of flipping coins, he managed to get a streak going and landed the coin 10 times heads in a row.

You see, it’s a matter of statistics. The probability of flipping a coin into a bowl and having it land heads 10 times in a row is miniscule, but it’s not zero. If you flip a coin enough times, you are bound to have it land heads 10 times in a row at least once.

You just have to be persistent enough for that time to arrive.

If you fail, you try and try again. If you fall, then you should get up and try again. People who do that have a greater chance of luck happening for them.

Yes, luck is sometimes a mysterious thing, but the people who are persistent, who take calculated risks, and who have reframed their minds to see every challenge as an opportunity have a greater chance of getting lucky.

If you want to get lucky, you need to create the conditions for that luck to come to you. People who don’t try will never become lucky. People who give up easily won’t get lucky.

Sometimes you get lucky early, sometimes it takes longer, sometimes luck unfortunately doesn’t appear. However one thing is for sure: you need to keep on trying.

Actually, I’m an overnight success. But it took twenty years.” Monty Hall

It’s the people who have the right mindset, who are persistent and hard working who are the ones who end up lucky. It’s all about statistics…
